Sorry for the lack of posts lately. It's the lull in the sports season. Also, we've been busy with our respective positions, some new!!!
As of this posting the Braves are 1 game ahead of the Dodgers for a wildcard spot. Hanson gave up 7 hits, 7 walks and had 7 strikeouts today in 5 innings and only gave up 1 run. Craziest pitching line ever. Frank Wren REALLY needs to get a starting pitcher. The Marlins are folding like cheap suits. I love it.
By Friday all of the NFL Training Camps will have opened and the Falcons are already down a MLB for the season. STILL don't understand how we let Curtis Lofton go. Let's hope Akeem Dent from UGA can play. Season rests on Matty Ice's not overly powerful right arm.
We'll be posting more frequently now that football is about to ramp up. About to be the best time of the year.
Is it just me or do you agree it feels sleazy recruiting kids away from Penn State on their own campus?

By the way, he's FOUR SHOTS BACK!!!

British Open Leaderboard
Watching Sportscenter, you would think Tiger walked across the Atlantic from Jupiter FL to Royal Lytham, cured all diseases, and split the atom when he got there. He's four shots back, for Goodness Sake. I've added the link to the leaderboard for proof.
Tom Watson at age 62 birdies 18 to make the cut and when ESPN interviews him afterward, they show him the highlight of Tiger holing out from the bunker and ask Tom about that. How pathetic.
My head will probably come off tomorrow while I'm watching the Tiger Lovefest.
P.S. Who besides me REALLY wants to see a final pairing off Tiger and Adam Scott on Sunday? THAT would be good TV.
Have a great weekend.

It's for a great cause
ESPN does this every year for the JimmyV foundation. Check the JimmyV speech on the site. Gets me every time.

BIG Night for some local boys made good!!
Post by William
Tomorrow night is a big night for 3 Leesburg natives at the MLB All Star Game (7:30 on FOX).
Phillip Phillips will sing before the game, Luke Bryan will sing the National Anthem, and Buster Posey starts for the NL at catcher. Big night for them and the city of Leesburg.
P.S.... we'll be hitting the Blog hard here pretty soon. Started a new venture that's exciting and time consuming. Will have it figured out before too long.
Big stuff coming.... Braves 2nd half, CFBall and Falcons camps starting soon. We'll have the Friday picks again and some smartass stuff to hopefully evoke some comments. (Keep them clean please)
Gonna try a TOP TEN for CFBall this year too.
Anyway, watch the guys tomorrow night and get ready for some heavy duty posting to come.
As always, thanks for playing along.
