Could this be considered a bad investment?

Post by William

NBA player buys lottery tickets

And people wonder why NBA players who make all that money end up being broke later in life.

Bad decisions.

I'm trying to be VERY careful here!!!

Should Augusta National have women members?

So every CEO from IBM has been asked to be a member at Augusta National. IBM now has a female CEO. Will Augusta National ask her to be a member? Should they ask her to be a member?

We would LOVE to have you comment. Please keep it clean.

This is not a team of Rhodes Scholars

When do they think they're going to be tested?

So Rambo's high school coach wonders why UGA players would get tested AFTER Spring Break. How dumb can they be to not know they're going to be tested after Spring Break? Especially Rambo, who's already being tested 5-6 times a year.

Not the brightest bulbs in the store.

Anybody got any eligibility left who can play DB? Give Grantham a call.

Crowell for Heisman!

Post by Mike
Crowell Talks About Winning The Heisman?

Hey dude here is an idea. Why don't you 1 - stay off the bong, 2 - try to play an entire game without coming off the field with a boo boo, and 3 - hold on to the football.

Do all that, and beat out Marshall for the starting job, and you might get 1,000 yards as a sophomore. Then you might be on the Heisman radar as a junior. But ya gotta do 1, 2 and 3 before you can talk about it.

Hall of Famer??

Post by William

I have a rule on Hall of Famers. Say the name out loud. The player is or isn't. You should know automatically if he is. Hines? Not so sure he is. I do know he was one Hell of a football player and he was tough as nails. I will never forget sitting in Sanford Stadium screaming at Jim Donnan who didn't play Hines at any position that game b/c he was the backup qb for the game. He was probably the best player on the team.

Congrats Hines on a fantastic career.

Don't Panic...Yet.

Post by Mike

Okay it is not quite time to panic, but we're getting close. The Braves currently have the worst record in Spring Training, including the Grapefruit and Cactus Leagues. 1-10 with a tie to the Marlins, YUK!

There are a few positive signs like Prado hitting .407 and Uggla .286. Other than that there is not much good coming out of Orlando. Spring Hitting Stats - BEWARE IT IS UGLY!

Heyward is still strugling at .143. Freeman is at .137 and Chipper is .000 in only 8 at bats. And our starting short stop Pastornicky is batting a cool .100 (3-for-30). Didn't we fire our last hitting coach because these guys couldn't hit a beach ball?

Of course the Braves have always had good pitching, but do yourself a favor and don't look at these stats either: Spring Pitching - NOT MUCH TO LIKE HERE EITHER!

They play tonight at 6 PM. I never put much emphasis on Spring Training, but the last team to have a Spring this bad was the 2010 Pirates. They finished last in the majors that year. We still have 22 warm up games remaining. If they can win 8 more, I won't panic.

A Dawg beat a Tiger

Post by William

Former UGA golfer Harris English (he's made 5 of 5 cuts) , who's a rookie on the Tour,  shot 66 today.  He beat Tiger ( who hasn't)  by 5 shots. Harris had the best score of the late afternoon tee times (when Tiger teed off).

Watched Golf Central. No Harris, no DLIII, (from Georgia) who's leading. All about Tiger's putting. Had to see with the blimp watching Tiger getting a putting lesson.

Go Dawgs

This is good stuff

When you get the chance, pick up the March/April issue of Southwest Georgia Living Magazine. There is a great article about Albany native and friend of the blog, Rob Matre. Rob is a fantastic photographer and goes to all the major events to take pictures. I'm sure he'll be down I-20 next month with some great pictures from Augusta National.

He has several websites. Please take a look and enjoy.
