Weekend Picks

Post by William

Happy Friday All!!! 1-1 last night. 16-19 for the year.

Good Thursday night of football. Falcons just showed off. Not sure why they're such a great home team and so bad on the road. That offense could be something special.

Really surprised Auburn didn't produce more than they did. One thing I did notice.... Auburn is beatable. K State's last 4 drives all started inside Auburn 30. 3 missed FGs and an INT. Bad.

Here are the picks for the rest of the weekend. Picks are in ALL CAPS

VA TECH(Home) minus 8 vs Ga Tech

BAMA(Home) minus 14.5 vs Boom

LSU(Home) minus 10 vs Miss St

SPURRIER minus 22.5 vs Vandy(Home)

Florida State(Home) minus 12.5 vs CLEMSON

Georgia(Home) minus 41 vs TROY      Uga wins easy but they never cover a big #. Maybe we'll get to see Brice Ramsey chuck it around the lot a little bit. Also, maybe the direct snap to #3 going to the left. Give Smokey the Vol something else to think about for next week.

On to the Pros

SEATTLE(Home) minus 5 vs Denver

Carolina(Home) minus 3.5 vs PITTSBURGH

New York Jets(Home) minus 3 vs CHICAGO

Have a great weekend.

Thursday Night Picks

Post by William

Hello all. Hope you're having a great week so far.

3-6 last week. Gross. 12-15 for the season. Grosser.

Here are the picks for tonight. Picks are in ALL CAPS

AUBURN minus 8.5 vs Kansas State(Home)    Heard a stat this morning. Since 2006, TOP 5 teams are 8-7 on the road on Thursday night.  Not tonight. Luckiest team ever rolls late.

ATLANTA(Home) minus 6 vs Tampa Bay     Only reason I think they cover is b/c Bucs D is ravaged with injuries.

The rest of the week's picks will be posted in the morning.

What I like and dislike about Saturday's game.

Post by Mike

Okay I’m nervous… confident… but nervous. It was easy to jump on the Georgia band wagon over the past two weeks. And why not… the Dawgs did destroy an out of shape, talent depleted Clemson squad at home on a 200-degree August afternoon.

What’s not to like?

I can’t come up with much… the special teams looked vastly improved. UGA, for the first time in recent memory, didn't have players falling out with conditioning cramps, Clemson did. Our defense played great! We swarmed to the ball, tackled well, and the secondary was serviceable.

Our O line looked great in the second half. Gurley’s numbers were huge because the holes in front of him were huger, and now Bobo has four horses he can use to wear down Carolina.

Mason looked like a game manager. He isn’t gonna win the game for us, but I also don’t think he will lose it. If there is a weakness, it has to be our deep ball attack. Hopefully we won’t need it.

Another thing I like is that Carolina played a tough game against East Carolina last Saturday while our guys were resting. That can’t hurt.

So what do I dislike?

Spurrier, his O line, and Mike Davis.

It could be worse… he could have Wuerffel - Doering - Clowney - Latimore type talent - he doesn't… but that beefy bunch up front is gonna try to do to us in their home stadium which we did to Clemson in ours. If it is close late in the game, the Visor will try to pound Davis out for the win. So… Bobo has to get us a 10 point lead… Pruett has to keep it. Simple as that.

Playing from behind is no way to go through a Saturday in Columbia.

Week 3 picks

Post by William

Hello all.

Bad week last week. 5-7. NFL saved that. 12-12 for the year.

Random thoughts...

Falcons looked FANTASTIC. Gonna have to outscore everybody this year. Possible.

Week 1 games were great. Other than UGA/SC, no good games this week. Scheduling needs to be addressed.

Could be a big weekend!!!

On to the picks.... Picks are in ALL CAPS

GEORGIA TECH(Home) minus 17 vs GA Southern  Mikey is on a roll. He said Va Tech would beat Urban last week. He says GSU beats GT this week. Not seeing it .   FYI... would be the best thing that could happen to GT. Paul Johnson has to go. GT sent back 2000 tickets to UGA for the UGA/Gt game in Athens b/c they couldn't sell them. They only get around 9000. You're telling me they can't get 9000 people to go to that game? When the HC starts costing you money, it's time for him to go.

TEXAS TECH(Home) minus .5 vs Arkansas

Bama(Home) minus 48 vs SOUTHERN MISS    too many points

BOOM(Home) minus 18 vs Kentucky     Talent prevails

Oklahoma(Home) minus 20.5 vs ROCKY TOP     Not upset special but Stoopes will lose his mind vs an SEC team

Uga minus 6.5 vs JACKASS(Home)    This started at 4.5. Weather could be a factor. Friend said could be good for UGA to take the crowd out of the game. UGA wins but it's gonna be close. #3. (Please let me be right)   FYI... the last UGA TD pass thrown in Columbia was by #14 David Greene. That's gross.

PROS

GREEN BAY(Home) minus 8 vs Jets

SAN FRAN(Home) minus 7 vs Chicago

Indy(Home) minus 3 vs EAGLES

Cincinnati(Home) minus 5,.5 vs FALCONS    Falcons D isn't the 1985 Bears but the Bengals don't have enough to stop MY TEAM!!!

Have a fantastic, safe weekend.

Week 2 picks

Post by William

Hello all. Hope you enjoyed Week 1.

Running late getting these out. Gonna be a little quick.

RE: UGA beatdown of Clemson.... IMPRESSIVE. Heard a radio guy say this.... Let Coach Richt tamp down expectations. Enjoy this as much as you would be pissed if it was 45-21 if Clemson had won. BTW... off week. NOBODY GET ARRESTED DURING THE OFF WEEKEND. YOUR TRACK RECORD AIN"T GOOD WHEN UNSUPERVISED

RE: Braves.... We had broken up but now they're tied for last Wildcard spot. EVERY game from now on is a playoff game. Sorry... I have to watch.

On to the picks.... 7-5 last week (8-5 if you count my pick that TW wouldn't win FedEx Cup). WORST SEC schedule I've ever seen. Here are the picks. PICKS ARE IN ALL CAPS

STANFORD(Home) minus 3 vs Southern Cal

Georgia Tech minus 10   TULANE(Home)    Why is GT opening Tulane's new stadium? Fyi.... GREAT game from Albany kid/DWS grad Tony Zenon last week.

OLE MISS minus 19.5 vs Vandy(Home)   I watched Vandy last week

OREGON(Home) minus 13.5(was 12 Thursday) vs Michigan St   Speed

SOUTH CAROLINA(Home) minus 15(was 16.5 Thursday) vs East Carolina    Play hard Pirates!!! Wear them down for Dogs.

Notre Dame (Home) minus 3.5 vs MICHIGAN   Yawn

OHIO STATE(Home) minus 12(was 11 Thursday) vs Va Tech

Onto the Pros

SAN FRAN minus 4 vs Dallas    The end is near for Jerry

PEYTON(Home) minus 7.5 vs Indy

DETROIT(Home) minus 6 vs Peyton's little brother   One word   MEGATRON

Arizona(Home) minus 3 vs SAN DIEGO

NEW ORLEANS minus 3 vs Falcons    Sundays at 1pm this Fall are going to be brutal. Falcons get 6 wins at best.

Have a great, safe weekend.
